Kid's Town Theater: Under Construction |
October 27, 2008 - January 7, 2009 |
These photos show the progress of remodeling our upstairs Children's Worship Room. The first five photos show the room before we started. At the time it was a fun kids room but many construction details were left unfinished. These photos were used to create concepts of the finished room which would compliment the already remodeled fifth grade room next door, "The Rock Cafe." The goal was to present a movie theater look. The room was cleared, a bigger stage was built, and new electrical requirements for the stage lights and projection system were installed. The ceiling and back stage-side walls were painted black. The other walls were painted and detailed, all before the carpet was to be replaced. Decorative touches were added such as wall molding and columns. Next the stage was tiled, and stage walls were built. Spot lights were installed, along with special effects lighting. Finally the "arcade" equipment was installed while room decorations were being created. Christian movie posters were installed. Just before opening night, more finishing touches were added to the cafe. |
